STAFFING ------------------------

The department prides itself with seven (7) marketing professionals ably supported by two (2) administrative staff members. It also has one teaching staff undergoing postgraduate studies.

Other teaching staff come from various departments to service the department, notable ones are Language and Liberal Studies, Accountancy and Mathematics and Statistic Departments.

STUDENT ENROLMENT --------------------

The Department of Marketing is a constituent of the Accra Polytechnic School of Business and Management Studies. Its main programme is the HND Marketing, both Full-time and Part-time, with a student population of about 852 made up of males and females.

The department has the following student population pursuing various programmes at the HND level.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES -------------

The teaching activity in the department is ongoing and supervision of project work of final year students is in progress.

The Department, which started a part time programme in 2003, now has two levels that are about to complete their second semester.

PLANS --------------------------------

The Department’s plan to introduce the B-Tech programme in the immediate future has not been abandoned. The Department also hopes to introduce specialised programmes to take care of industry needs, short courses and also become a leading consultancy centre in Ghana.
