The Deans

Mr. Olufemi O. Fatonade
Dean of School of Engineering

He was appointed lecturer at the then Building and Civil Engineering Department when he joined the Polytechnic in 1995. He then rose to become the head of the Department in 1998 till 2007 when he became the head of the Building Technology Department which had been detached from the Civil Engineering Department.

He was elected the Dean of the School of Engineering in 2009. He currently holds a Masters’ degree in Construction Management from the University of Lagos, Nigeria; and a B.Sc. degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awololo University).

 
MR. CYRACUS BAPUUROH
Dean of School of Business and Management Studies (Acting)


Mr. Bapuuroh was appointed a lecturer at the Department of Marketing in 2004. In the same year he became the deputy head and the examinations officer and subsequently, the head of the Department in 2007.

He was appointed Ag. Dean of the School of Business/Management Studies effective from January, 04 2011.

Mr. Bapuuroh holds B.A in Economics with Statistics, MBA in Marketing, LLB and BL, all from Ghana.

 
Dr. (Mrs.) Elizabeth R. Turkson
Dean of School of Applied Science and Arts

She joined the Polytechnic in 1995 as a lecturer in Professional and Management courses at the department of Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management.

She has served as a member of the Polytechnic Council as well as the Academic Board. She has also served as Dean of Students’ Affairs. She is a proud member of the Institute of Hospitality and the Ghana Institute of Management.

She holds a PhD as well as a Masters’ degree in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey (UK). In 1981, she earned a B.Sc. degree (honours) in Home Science (Foods Option) from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (General Management Specialisation) from the Mediterranean Institute of Management, Nicosia, Cyprus; in 1987.
